We began the year with revisiting our vision and mission statement, crafted specifically to reiterate our devotion to the community through hard work, maintaining strong relationships with the City of Defiance, Defiance County, Community Improvement Corporation of Defiance County, and the Downtown Development & Visitor’s Bureau. It is my vision for the chamber to build strong partnerships with all organizations in the Defiance Area. Every entity has its own identity and responsibilities, but it is my vision for us to take all of those resources and channel them towards the greater good of our community.
Member involvement also serves as a pertinent aspect in our chamber life. Your role, hopefully as a valued member, is vital to the success of all areas of growth within our chamber. It is this task that I charge you with: uphold our organization as we uphold yours in an effort to create camaraderie and a strong united community. Our doors are open and we invite you share your ideas and concerns. Change is good because it means we have an opportunity to make things better. Your participation and involvement in the changes that we make will be a result from a shared interest in our beloved community.
I am truly honored to serve you and this organization. I am humbled to have the support of such an extraordinary group of people. I ask you to rally behind me in the forthcoming years as we work together to uphold our community and each other, so that we may one day look back with pride at what we have accomplished together.
